Fear Not My Princess

I was too lazy to write something new...so I decided to post an old poem I once wrote:

Fear not my princess; I'm on my way
I just have a few more dragons to slay
Just me and my trusty sword,
Against the dragon and his hoard.

Fear not my princess; my sword strikes true
The dragon has fallen I’m coming for you
But before me are thorns deadly and strong
Thick as a forest. The path is still long

Fear not my princess; my hand will not fall
Endlessly hacking this thorny wall
My sword is sharp and it cuts through
The vines with the thorns that keep me from you

Fear not my princess; the castle looms near
I have broken through, I am finally here
You are in the tower, the one dark and tall
I run past the guards, up the stairs, down the hall.

Fear not my princess; I found you at last
All of my dangers are far in the past
A brush of the lips, a touch, a light kiss
You are awoken and I am in bliss

Fear not my princess; I say to you,
The dragon I’ve killed. The thorns I broke through
The spell has been lifted, it’s broken, you’re free
Happily ever after, my princess and me.
